A blockchain marriage is a permanent record of union between two digital identities, written into a smart contract on a public blockchain.

Since February 14, 2023, NowYouCanSeeLove has been the first platform to offer this as an online service.

**What gets recorded:**

* Two digital identities (the partners)
* Names, photographs, and date
* The spoken vow
* Two Vow Rings (NFTs)
* A shared Digital Certificate (NFT)

This record is stored on the Polygon blockchain — publicly verifiable, tamper-proof, and permanent.

**What this means**

The blockchain doesn't ask about legal recognition. It simply records: *these two digital identities entered a union at this moment in time*.

This is a fact, not a contract. It creates no legal obligations. It requires no government approval. It cannot be forged.

**Can it be changed or deleted?**

No. This is the point.

A moment that happened cannot be unhappened. The record preserves the fact that at a specific point in time, two people chose each other and wanted that choice anchored in permanence.

Relationships may evolve. The record remains — not as a chain, but as a testament to what was true when it was true.
